As a criminal justice major, you'll gain a solid understanding of the causes of crime and the application of justice. You'll study topics such as criminology, victimology, psychology and political studies and visit local law enforcement agencies. In this criminal justice degree program, you'll also learn the structure and process of the American judicial system and explore and analyze diverse ethical issues that you may encounter as a criminal justice professional. When it's time to graduate, you'll have the knowledge and confidence necessary to assume positions of responsibility and leadership.Full-time students enrolled in this program can participate in internships in Washington, D.C., for a semester. Once you have earned your criminal justice degree, you may go on to law school or work in a variety of law enforcement careers.
