Earn your early childhood education degree and learn the importance of early literacy development for infants and their families and young children up to third grade. As a student of this early learning program, you'll have internship opportunities to better help define professional goals. In this program, you'll learn early literacy development, and also learn innovative iPad techniques for instructional strategies and assessments.As an early childhood education major, you'll combine theory with practical applications and understand both the physical and emotional development of babies, toddlers and preschoolers. While working with early learners, you'll observe different types of early learning communities—daycare centers, preschools, elementary schools and early learning centers. Plus, you'll network with key influencers and explore how to implement current technologies to supplement your future approach to teaching and learning.
