Whether students aspire to conduct cutting edge biological research, attend medical school, or travel the globe in search of new species, the Findlay biology program will provide the knowledge and skills necessary for understanding the biological world. Students are encouraged to conduct hands-on research in the field and in the lab to prepare for the workforce, professional school or graduate school. Biology students have the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally for extensive hands-on field experience. The 2019 graduating class of biology majors had an 85% acceptance rate into graduate/professional school and a 100% acceptance rate into veterinarian school for those who applied. Findlay graduates with a degree in biology have found employment as: doctors, veterinarians, wildlife conservationists, optometrists, wildlife researchers, environmental consultant, marine biologist, and dentist.
