Course overview

Legal expertise empowers businesses to succeed. It helps protect intellectual property, mitigates risk, gives clarity to contracts, and more. Together, business and law form a dynamic duo that drives economic growth and change. Being able to make connections between the 2 subjects is key to the course. We’ll challenge you to do this independently, but you’ll also take modules that are taught jointly by academics from the Business School and the School of Law and Social Sciences. Problem solving, effective decision making and the ability to present persuasive arguments are just a few of the skills you’ll develop through the course. Paired with your insight into the relationship between business and law in a commercial context, you’ll have lots of options when you graduate. The legal knowledge and understanding you develop during your law modules will be useful when preparing for the SQE. If you don’t have ambitions to be a lawyer, this course opens many other options for your future.
